God, Now more than Ever.

Encountering a Miracle. Embracing the small Miracles of LIFE. A Special visitation, in T&T. https://www.koditt.org/

There is a lot of talk. There is a lot to say. After all, hundreds and thousands of people have died due to this strange virus (Coronavirus) — that’s displaced, separated people from their loved ones and uprooted a way of life that normally consists of the gathering of families, quality time spent among neighbors and friends, and an intimacy that comes with building community. But no matter “what dem say” .

— when you live and move by the Spirit then you learn to trust God in all things and expect to see that the Righteous are never forsaken.

(KJV, Psalm 13:5) “But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. This is the way, the mantra if you will by which Chrisitian’s are when it comes to making the impossible possible.

On Sunday, September 12, 2021 a Pastors Mwale and Chantel Henry welcomed the congregation of KODI in their new sanctuary— a Miracle Space. Their new Miracle home, renovated building, stage and transformed location after a long sabbatical from in-person service. What a Blessing. The Heavens were open just as the doors were that day! Coming all of the way from Washington D.C. by way of New York to Port of Spain, I had the privilege of being there as part of this milestone. I thought to myself…..it could only be GOD and the world needs God now more than ever.

K.O.D.I. stands in the gap for the lost, wounded, afraid and hopeless, evidence of things not seen, is now making up for a lost time, uncertainty, economic decline, isolation and shame of this Global famine. It’s amazing.

The Joy of the Lord and the presence of God was felt all over the place — from the warm smile and brightness in Pastors Chantel’s eyes as she greeted newcomers and returning members. Stating the the K.O.D.I. mission — “Maximizing success and unlocking your God-given potential.” we all felt the GlORY of the Lord resting upon our shoulders. For the Lord had done a GOOD Thing. A New Thing. The season of new beginnings! Halleluijah!!!!

The Pastoral Family

It was heard as Pastor Mwale’s melodious singing filled the room — worshiping in the Spirit and Truth. Leading the way for God’s People to Love more. Praise and Pray. Keep it simple, Walk in Wisdom, Give it Time, Trust in the Lord. GO Forth Victorious.

I was taken by the Free Kale that handed out at the door grown from Hydraponic Garden, an advance system that trickles the water vertically in levels. A Kind and Beautiful Gesture that reminded us all to take care of their bodies, celebrating the green and freshness from the Earth! God’s Creation — our Foundation.

I wish them Richness in the Spirit as well as their inheritance upon the Earth.

The Best of DC: Busyboys and Poets

A STAPLE of Washington DC. For any Artist, happens to the be thee "Busboys and Poets". Yes, they serve Mambo Sauce here too.  This place is near and dear to my heart because it was where I got one of my first jobs while in my youth over the summer. I wasn't quite drinking age which was required for serving alcohol as a Waitress, but Terrance hired me anyway. There, I didn't quite get the essence of being within a TRIBE which is their model instead of "STAFF"--until after I left the job. But I loved it with every ounce of me.  I paid close attention to the flow of things and enjoyed the vibe of Mediterranean Culture mixed with Soul Food cuisine while local-made art hung on the wall and performed during the nearest open mic. I was enamoured by how the restaurant held the essence of DC right there it's nook: corporate lunches held in the terrance, indoor and outdoor seating for friends having happy house  a bookstore sponsored by Global Exchange--a non-pro...

Black History Month Dueces. 22 ---  I felt some type of way... I'd just finished Breakfast ~ A French/Kenyan Crepe, Potatoes + Grilled Tomato, Steamed Carrots w/ Mango Juice, and a sip of Black Coffee. I longed for the beach, but there was work to BE DONE -- the warm water and waves, kites flying in the air, and White Sand so soft you melt into it with each step. But all in all, I knew I had TO get to it! I came to Malindi - not to witness a wedding but a Playwright, an Artist, a Friend, a Host. And every day since I agreed to jump on board, I'd be rocking and rolling. Time is over the Essence. This weekend is the COOL DOWN>>> Watamu, a PLACE so LOVELY + Serene. Energizing & Free. Tomorrow, I book it. Nairobi. Then HOOME. <3 to MD. Day #1 Well, I made it. The Motherland. God willing ~ you cross the Atlantic Sea + Land Safely and discover that there is no reason to Fear. The images of poverty, lack with strips of refugee camp life, beggars and thieves -- enlarged...
