Here is a word from a prolific dance figure in American History.
Loretta Abott, one of the first founding dancers of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre among so many other things as we understand that dancers are not just dancers.....offer the world so much.
Today is the first of Black History Month celebrated in the US.
Ironically, I came across this footage--an interview of out-spoken and courageous Black Women poised to make a difference in the communities back in the 1970's curated by the Black Journal.
The video streams from the Youtube Channel Black Reel, as I state the phrase "A Real Black Girl" on my instagram profile. I am convinced that their no such things as mistakes or coincidences, only purposed ideas for infinite connection.
Enjoy.
Kudos to GOOGLE for it's remembrance of spokeswoman Sojourner Truth, "Ain't I a Woman".
